False pretence counts proven
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, Nov. 3, A Hamilton Supreme Court jury yesterday found Gordon Vivian Melsom, aged 42, guilty on five charges of false pretences relating to the defrauding of New Zealand Forest Products of $4782. Melsom, a serviceman, of Hamilton, had pleaded not guilty to the offences, which occurred between April, 1970, and July, 1971. He was remanded in custody by Mr Justice Woodhouse for sentence on a date yet to be set.
