Rain washes out golf

Play was abandoned halfway through the first round of the Dunlop international golf tournament yesterday after heavy rain flooded the course at Yarra Yarra. Most of the greens were under water.
The unluckiest finisher was the 22-year-old Melbourne professional, R. Wood, who had a 69—his best score in first-class golf.
