Driving plans uncertain
Driving arrangements for the stablemates Royal Ascot and Manaroa in next Tuesday’s New Zealand Cup have not been settled. However, their trainer, C. J. McLaughlin, said last evening that he thought he would drive Manaroa and A. M. Harrison Royal Ascot, which drive Harrison preferred. McLaughlin plans to drive Manaroa In the trials at Addington today before making a final decision. Royal Ascot will complete his cup preparatalon at the Pleasant Point non-totallsator meeting on Saturday. ASHBURTON TROTTING CLUB N.Z. SAPLING STAKES, 1973. SECOND PAYMENTS SECOND PAYMENT must be made not later than 3.0 P.M. ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 1972, with the Secretary, Ashburton. If owners wish to continue the engagement of their horses in this race, it is absolutely essential to forward the second payment of $l2 per horse to reach the Club before 3 p.m. on November 2, 1972.
