S.C. Irish jig championship

The winner of the South Canterbury under 16 Irish jig championship at competitions conducted at Temuka recently was Miss Rosemary Johnston, of Christchurch, who was also the most successful competitor of the day. She won the Temuka Flourmilling Cup for most points. The runner-up was Miss Christine Webb (Christchurch). Entries totalled 306. The judge, Mrs Christine Baxter, commended the performers on their high standard.
