Properties auctioned
An old four-room weatherboard house on a 41.2-perch section at 46 Gordon Avenue, St Albans, was sold for $15,100 at action yesterday. The Government valuation is $5600. The property, which includes a garage and workshop, was sold by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd, on behalf of the Public Trustee. The auctioneer was Mr D. O. Chapman. A two-bedroom and sunroom cottage on a 36.8-perch section at 232 Estuary Road, North Brighton, was sold at auction on Tuesday for $6500. The Government valuation is $3200. A four-bedroom house at 25 Thackeray Street, Waltham, was passed in at $6750 at auction on Monday. The Government valuation is $3400. The auctioneer for both properties was Mr C. R. Blackett, of Livingstone and Company.
