[Mr A. G. Rodda, president of the Price Tribunal, replies: “These commodities do not fall within the scope of the price justification scheme. Nevertheless, the extent of the price rises appears to call for some examination. Accordingly, I am requesting the price inspectors at the Industries and Commerce Department, Christchurch, to investigate the complaint urgently, if asked to do so by your correspondent. They will, of course, need to be given full details of the transactions.”]
