Prices
Sir,—On my shopping list for Friday last was a small bottle of methylated spirits (about 3oz) for which I was charged 25c. A packet of dome preserving seals was priced at 43c. I did not buy it. In my home I had an empty bottle which had contained methylated spirits purchased last year at 15c; a packet of dome seals is marked 29c. Both these commodities are made in New Zealand, so where is our price justification scheme? It is only a farce. It was all very well for Mr Marshall to say a year or two ago, “Shop around," but perhaps he overlooks the fact that not all “Mums” have a Ministerial car at their disposal.—Yours, etc.,
