DIVIDEND APPEALS
Committee chosen ffl.Z. Prest Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 29. Membership of the appeal committee to decide on appeals arising under the Limitation of Dividends Regulations, 1972, was announced today by the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon). TTiey will be Mr F. H. Harris, a chartered accountant, Mr D. Hudig, former managing director of Philips Electrical Industries of New Zealand, Ltd, and Mr C. A Blazey, former senior assistant manager for New Zealand of the A.M.P. Society. “The restrictions limit the rate of dividend that a company may declare or pay during the next 12 months,” Mr Muldoon said. “They also provide for consent in special circumstances for a rate other than that permitted. The appeal committee has been set up to consider and make decisions on applications for exemptions.”
