Award move rejected
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 8. An application by hospital 1 boards to be excluded from i the parties to a new award for laundry workers, dyers and dry cleaners, so that they might seek a separate award, has been rejected by the Arbitration Court. '• Judge A. P. Blair said that the Court did not consider it desirable at this stage to leave the workers involved ■without the protection of an Award. - The new award provides ■for wage increases of between 10 and 10.9 per cent. -The increase absorbs the 9.1 per cent cost-of-living order.
