$438 fee on Marley
The New Brighton soccer club has set a fee of $438 on the transfer of its 20-year-old striker, A. Marley, to Christchurch United. Commenting on the matter last night, after a board meeting, the chairman, Mr F. J. H. Haydon, said: “We will dispute this action through the Canterbury Football Association.”
It is understood that Brighton largely paid Marley’s fares from England last June and the specialist treatment for a back injury.
