Racing circuit inspections
The former racing driver, Jack Brabham will be one of a three-man team from the Federation Internationale de I’Automobile, the international body controlling motor sport, which will inspect New Zealand Tasman-series racing circuits next month the Motorsport Association has announced. : The other members of the inspection team would be Mr D. Delamont, of the Royal Automobile Club of London,
and Mr H. Treu, of the F.1.A., said the association’s chief executive officer (Mr A. J. Smithard), yesterday The team would inspect circuits in both New Zealand and Australia, in line with a decision of the F.I.A. made last October, he said. This decision was in line with the F.l.A.’s policy of inspecting circuits throughout the world from time to time. The three men would arrive in New Zealand on April 5, and leave again on April 8. Messrs Delamont and Treu would be on their way to a meeting of the F.I.A. in Kyoto, Japan, and might inspect other circuits in the Pacific area, Mr Smithard said.
