MELBOURNE, March 7.
Aberfoyle, Ltd, has offered ■ two of its fully-paid shares for every 5 shares in Ardlethan Tin, NL, in a bid for the tinminer’s capital not t already held by it. i In addition, for every 5 1 Aberfoyle shares received, 1 accepting shareholders will ‘ receive two 50c fully-paid 6 per cent non-cumulative redeemable preference shares. Terms of the offer have i been designed to enable accepting shareholders to , -participate in the special ■ bonus issue of non-cumula- : tive redeemable preference i shares proposed by the directors of Aberfoyle. : The Aberfoyle group is one of the largest tin pro- , ducers in Australia, and the 1 offer gave Ardlethan shareholders the opportunity to ’ participate directly in the greater financial strength and ’future long-term growth of ■ the whole group, the directors of Aberfoyle said.
