Conciliation at Kinleith

The Auckland Conciliation Commissioner (Mr G. D. Whatnall) will investigate the dismissal of a boilermaker by a company working on extensions to the Kinleith paper mill.
He was dismissed for “insubordination.” More than 1000 workers! went on strike on Thursday,'; alleging “victimisation" I against the man after other; companies on the site did not employ him. The striking men met this morning and decided to resume work after the man was reinstated pending a decision by Mr Whatnall on whether his dismissal was justified.
