G. Edge to ride Jan’s Beau
“Th* Press" Special Service CAMBRIDGE. Th* Cambridge jockey, G. R. Edge, who will ride Llananthony and Poseur at Trentham on Saturday, will leave by air on Sunday morning on a short visit to Australia. Edge will ride Jan’s Beau -in the Australian Cup in Melbourne next Monday and will return to New Zealand the next day. Edge has been successfully associated with Jan’s Beau. He won th* Win* championship Stakes at Ellerslie when Jan’s Beau was a two-yearidd, and last sea-, son won six races on the Whangarel galloper, Including the City of Auckland Centennial Handicap and the Newmarket and Admiralty Handicaps at Ellerslie and the Rawson Memorial Handicap at Avondale under 9-7.
