Peacock Fountain
Sir, — Today your paper refers to a statement by the Mayor regarding a special fund which has been opened for the restoration and installation of the Peacock Fountain at “Mona Vale”. In my opinion this fountain should be reinstated in the Botanic Gardens, where the benefit would be for a far greater public than ever at “Mona Vale”. Although “Mona Vale” has its uses for functional occasions, the Gardens give greater pleasure to the public as a whole. — Yours, etc., COLIN C. LAMB. March 7, 1972.
