Adult education priority urged
(N.Z Press Association) HAMILTON, Nov. 29.
New Zealanders do pot give adult education high enough priority, says the National Council of Adult Education in its annual report.
This left public adult education expenditure more open to reduction than other sections of education at times of national financial difficulty, said the report.
The report noted a recommendation from the social and cultural committee of the National Development Conference that there should be greater provision for out-of-school and adult educatin.
