H.B. Motors profit up
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 8. The unaudited group net profit of the Hawke’s Bay Motor Company, Ltd, increased $26,093 or 79.2 per cent to $59,050 in the year to June 30, the directors have announced. An increase of 1.5 per cent in the dividend rate will be recommended, making 9 per cent for the year payable on October 14. The provision for tax was $17,235 higher at $34,623 and the provision for depreciation was $12,524 higher at $85,271. In November the company acquired Kowhai Scenic Coach Tours, Ltd, and Pahiatua Passenger Services, Ltd. Report after audit Mining Investments, Ltd, says that the annual accounts and directors’ report will be sent to shareholders when the audit is complete. The annual meeting will be held on October 22.
