Established miners fall in Australia

Established miners were cut back across the boards on Australian stock exchanges yesterday. Oils and speculative miners weakened marginally while some selected industrials retreated. Bougainville lost 5c to 270 c. C.R.A. was cut back 20c to 650 c, and New B.H, closed 10c lower at 930 c. Metals Ex dropped 30c to 400 c, Poseidon eased 50c to 1900 c, and Peko was cut back 30c to 830 c. Gt Boulder, Hamersley, and W.M.C. all dropped 5c while Con. Gold shed 10c to 650 c. Kathleen Investments recovered 20c to "340 c but Queensland Mines dropped 10c to 500 c.

Timor, N.S.W. Oil and Gas, Alliance, Bridge, and Basin all eased marginally, while Mid East., Oil Search, and A.A.O. rose fractionally. B.H.P. shed 15c to 1265 c despite higher profit forecasts by its chairman. Comalco
