AMBULANCE WORK
The St John Ambulance Association in Christchurch attended 89 motor accidents last month—one fewer than in July—compared with 75 in August last year. Patients from accidents last month numbered 89, compared with 90 in July and 75 in August, 1971.
The association carried 2560 patients during the month, compared with 2459 in July and 2497 in August last year. The ambulances travelled 15,596 miles, compared with 15,074 in July and 14,460 in August, 1970. The association attended 51 miscellaneous accidents compared with only 12 in August last year and 49 in July.
