Hong Kong appointment

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 1. The New Zealand trade representation at Hong Kong is to be strengthened with the appointment of an assistant trade commissioner, the Minister of Overseas Trade (Mr Marshall) said yesterday. “Hong Kong is one of our most important and stable markets in Asia, and the resident trade commissioner also is responsible for servicing our expanding markets in the Philippines, Taiwan and Guam,” he said. "The appointment of an assistant trade commissioner will enable further promotion of New Zealand products in these countries as well as extended services to exporters generally.”
