TV report finished
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 3. The Minister of Broadcasting (Mr Walker) will produce a paper for next week’s Cabinet meeting on the Broadcasting Authority's report on the extension of television services. The Prime Minister (Sir Keith Holyoake) said tonight that the Cabinet had had no time to discuss the report today. “I would think it would be tabled in the House at the earliest possible date,” he said.
The Authority was asked in October, 1969, to look into the need for an extension of television services. The inquiry began the next month, and continued until last November.
