(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA. The president of the Australian Rugby Union (Mr C. Blunt) on Thursday conferred with Government officials on the latest blow to the planned South African tour of Australia. With the start of the tour just over a week away, the Rugby union has been hit with a ban on the Springboks by one of Australia’s two major domestic airlines. Blaming trade union threats to ground Its fleet, Ansett Airlines of Australia announced It would not cany the Springboks. Cancellation of the Springboks first matches, against Western and South Australia—on June 26 and the following week—loomed as a possibility, the N2.PA staff correspondent In Sydney said. The team might be flown direct to Sydney. But Mr Blunt repeated his determination that the tour will go ahead as scheduled. "We’ll cany the South Africans about on our backs if necessary,” he said.
