Big French win
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) CRADOCK (North-East Cape). The French Rugby team gave a scintillating second-half display to beat North-East Cape, 33-17, at Cradock on Wednesday. The French points came from six converted tries and a try to two tries (one converted), a penalty goal and two dropkicked goals. The French team led only 10-6 at half-time, but shook off its lethargy to score four converted tries—three in as many minutes —and a try after the interval. To its credit, North-East Cape —one of the weakest provincial sides in South Africa—never gave up, and scored 11 points in the second half.
