Biscuits up in price
The wholesale price of biscuits and confectionery has been increased, after approval from the Department of Industries and Commerce under the Price Justification Scheme. .j.,
As from yesterday, the wholesale price of all packet biscuits has been increased between 3.3 per cent and 5.3 per cent depending on variety. Biscuits in the loose form and assorted tins are also covered in the approval. Confectionery sold in the loose form has been increased by 3c per lb, while (confectionery sold by the packet, or as count lines, will be reduced in weight. There is no change in the
price 'ofinchocolates but a small will be,; made .in the weight of chocolate 'tablets and some of the smaller Cdunt lines.
