Properties passed in
A Woodend freehold property of 14 acres offered on account of Mr D. E. Archer was passed in at auction yesterday at $9OOO. The Govern-, ment valuation is $5400. The auctioneer was Mr W. R. Flanagan. Two properties at 552 and 556 Hereford Street, totalling 59 perches and offered as one lot, were passed in at auction at $15,400. One property is a four-bedroom house on 22.3 perches, and the other a block of self-contained flats, returning $2O a week, on 36.8 perches. The Government valuation is $10,550 for the two properties.
The auctioneer was Mr P. G. N. Rhodes A lease in perpetuity of 648 acres at “Queenfieid,” Waiau, was passed in at $l4O an acre when i* was offered at auction yesterday. The Government valuation is $97,100. Improvements on the property include a threebedroom house and a full range of outbuildings. lite auctioneer was Mr W. Steele.
