BRONZE MEDAL WINNER.—The New Zealand representative, E M. Gray (Greymouth), ploughing through a muddy patch during the international crosscountry championship at San Sebastian, Spain. Behind him are N. Tijou (France) and T. Wright (England). Gray went on to become New Zealand’s first finisher, in third place. Wright came through to take second place, and Tijou faded to seventh. The race was won by D. Bedford (England).
