SEAT-BELT VIEWS
Discussion of its views on the compulsory wearing of seat-belts was last evening deferred by the council of the Automobile Association (Canterbury).
The general manager (Mr E. S. Palliser) said he was seeking information on such legislation in Australia. A report of the association’s national motoring and traffic committee said the matter had been discussed by the committee, which had suggested it be raised again later. At the committee meeting, several spoke in favour of compulsory wearing of belts.
