The loudest noise at the annual McEvedy Shield intercollegiate athletics sports at Wellington College on Saturday could be the sound of the starter’s pistoL Under a code of behaviour set down by the Wellington Secondary School’s Athletic Association, pupil spectators cannot perform hakas, they cannot whistle and cheer, they cannot blow trumpets, and they cannot wave banners.
