HOSPITAL DESIGN
Research unit planned (N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 23. A hospital research and design unit was being establised by the Health Department, the deputy director of the department’s Hospital Division (Dr •R. Dickie) said in Auckland today. He told a hospital design forum that one of the tasks of the new unit would be to investigate areas of the hospital system of which there was insufficient knowledge. The unit would also evaluate new hospitals after they had been commissioned and working for some time. “I think this will be one of the unit’s most important functions to begin with,” he said.
