Rise in milk price urged

(N.Z. Press. Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, March 23. An increase in the price of produce sold on the local market was sought by representatives at a Town Milk Producers’ Federation conference in Palmerston North. The following resolution will be recommended to the federation’s executive: "That the federation and the manufacturing industry combine in a joint approach to the Government for acknowledgement of a price, based on remuneration on a level comparable with other sections of the community, for produce sold on the local market. “Failing this, the town milk industry, in co-operation with the dairy industry, institute action calculated to secure justice within the town milk producers’ price.”
