Butterfat intake down
(N.Z. Press Association)
HAMILTON, Feb. 14.
Butterfat intake by the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd, was 13m lb below last year’s total to the end of January, said its general manager (Mr R. Haggle) in Hamilton.
Although the milk flow was still holding at an even level since the recent rain, it would be difficult to anticipate this season’s production being any greater than last season, Mr Haggie said. Last season’s production, affected by one of the most severe Waikato droughts in memory, was well belqw the average.
