WELLINGTON, Feb. 14.
“You seem to be intent on becoming a drifter,” Mr J. A. Wicks, S.M., told a man in the Magistrate’s Court who appeared for sentence for possessing a prescription poison.
Robert Vivian James, aged 20, an electrician, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to possessing a prescription poison at Christchurch on or about January 22, and was remanded for a probation report and sentence. At the earlier hearing the police said James admitted mixing the drug into a solution and injecting it into his arms.
The Magistrate convicted and fined James $lOO and costs and placed him on probation.
