West German sets swimming record
(N.Z. Press Association i HASTINGS. The touring West German swimmers won all but one of the 11 events they contested against New Zealanders at the Hastings Aquatic Centre on Saturday night. However, times were generally disappointing, and only one national record was broken, by W. Kusch (West Germany), Who took o.6sec off the New Zealand visitors’ best time for the men’s 100 metres breaststroke, with Imin 11.4 sec. The old record of Imin I2sec was held by the Australian, I.
