Keelers in fast run
Yachts of the Banks Peninsula Cruising Club raced over a course from Lyttelton to Port Levy on Saturday. Moderate south-west-erly winds gave the fleet a fast spinnaker run down the harbour to the heads and a beat to Port Levy. The trimaran Restless (A. Norfolk), took the President’s Trophy on corrected time in the first division. In the second division, J. Donnelly, took the Committee Trophy in Seagoer. The fleet lay at anchor overnight in Port Levy and raced back to Lyttelton yesterday In light north-easterly conditions. Results were:— Saturday.—First division: Restless 1, Ailsa (I. G. Clark) 2, Apitl (R. Johnstone) 3. Line honours:; Tactile Too (C. and N. Jones).; Second division: Seagoer 1. Serica (A. Laban) 2, Phantasy 111 3. Line honours: Phantasy II (T. Rolton). Sunday.—First division: Fiddler (A. D. Stemmer) 1, Main Royal (D. R. Matheson) 2, Crusader (B. Meads) 3. Line honours: Tactile Too. Second division: Saracen (D. W. Gallagher) 1, Ikatere 2. Phan.tasy 111 3. Line honours: Ikatere (P. D. Anderson).
