Apple and pear price
The price for apples and pears set in February for the 1969-70 season -will remain unchanged at 101.85 cents a bushel. This was announced yesterday by the chairman of the Apple and Pear Prices Authority, Mr R. M. Richardson, who said the decision had been made after reviewing the price set in February. The price set is the same as the price which applied for the 1968-69 season. It covers bare fruit, unpacked and ungraded, and without the case, but includes cartage to the grower’s nearest inspection depot.
