Moore not coming
The present world best pairs speedway champion, R. L. Moore, of Christchurch, will definitely not race at Templeton this season. On medical advice he has decided to spend the winter in England to give his injuries a chance to recover fully. Moore broke an arm and injured his back during the European championship in Russia. Since his crash he has been back on the track and, in fact, led his team, Wimbledon, to victory in the Knockout Cup competition. But his return to competition was premature and his back is still troubling him. Moore was recently elected to the executive of the Speedway Riders’ Association.
