SAD BUT PROUD OCCASION.—J. Stewart, the retiring world motor-racing champion, presenting the world championship drivers challenge trophy to Mrs Nina Rindt, wife of J. Rindt, the Austrian driver who was killed in a motorracing accident earlier this year. At the time of his death Rindt was well ahead in points for the world championship and his lead was not overtaken in later races. It is the first time the award has been won posthumously.
