Thai Army staff visit
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. General Surakij Mayalarp, the Chief-of-Staff of the Royal Thai Army, accompanied by his wife and six staff officers, will arrive in Auckland tomorrow to begin a four-day visit to New Zealand, a spokesman for the Army Department announced today. General Surakij will visit Papakura Camp on Tuesday and watch a demonstration by the ranger squadron of the Special Air Service, and will visit other field force units. He will fly to Wellington later for talks with the chiefs-of-staff at the Ministry of Defence.
