CLAY HAS MESSAGE
Demand for next fight (N.Z. Prru Asm. — Copyright; NEW YORK. Cassius Clay said on Saturday he will make an important announcement tomorrow from his Miami Beach headquarters, a spokesman for Madison Square Garden announced. The former heavy-weight champion, who will meet the Argentinian, Oscar Bonavena, on December 7 at the Garden in a 15-round bout, claimed he will have an important message for “Mr Average.” “Over the week-end, I will hold a cohference by telephone with all those big promoters at Madison Square Garden,” Clay said. '“l’m going to nfeke a big demand that will be important to all the hard-working people who want to see me fight the beast.’ ” A Garden spokesman said he did not know what Clay’s demand would be. Clay, who stopped Jerry Quarry in his first comeback bout at Atlanta last month, is training at Miami Beach. He is expected to move his camp to New York in a few days.
