Sport links resumed
(NZ.r.A.-TleutcT—CopyrigM) MUNICH. East and West German negotiators have readied agreement to resume full sporting contacts between the two States after a break of 11 years. Mr W. Daume, the president of the West German Sports Federation, announced the agreement after * meet-' ing with Mr M. Ewald,--of East Germany. Since the West German ! sports authorities broke off relations in 1961 over the building of the* Berlin Wall 1 by East Germany, there has been only sparse and unoffi- < cial sports competition be-. 1 tween them.
Even this stopped last July when the two delegations had their first meeting at Halle, East Germany, on restoring the links.
