RACE FOR PIKO
(N.Z. Press Assn.-Copyright) SYDNEY. Piko will have his second Australian start in the Gladesville Flying Handicap (6f) at Canterbury today. Piko had his first run on October 17 in a fivefurlong sprint but was not fit and finished last. He has been working along steadily since then and should give a much Improved showing. Date for swab inquiry The inquiry resulting from the positive swab returned by Highland Flight after he had won at the Wanganui Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday, October 3, will be held in Wellington on Thursday, December 10. This was announced yesterday by the secretary of the New Zealand Trotting Conference (Mr J. Rowley).
