Addington Raceway

Sir,—As a regular racegoer, I wish to voice my opinion on the conditions at Addington Raceway. Might the Health Department look into the conditions in the public bar, cafeteria, and public conveniences, which are in an equally filthy state? Surely at 70 cents entrance the public are entitled to more hygienic facilities. In conclusion, may I ask why the men’s conveniences are situated a straight’s length from the main stand? Is it because of their unhygienic, state? P.S.: I did make money on Tuesday.—Yours, etc., s ” TULAK. November 16, 1970. [Mr J. K. Davidson, chairman of directors of Addington Raceway, Ltd, would not comment on the letter.]
