High prices at sale

(Frofn Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, Oct. 15. Good prices were paid at a sale of antique and other household effects, the property of the late Mr W. F. Harley, in Greymouth. The St Columba Hall was packed with buyers from Christchurch, Nelson, and the West Coast for'the auction conducted by Mr J. J. O'Donnell for E; V. Arthur and Son, Ltd.

Top price of $220 was paid for four balloon-backed dining chairs. A camphorcarved chest sold for $155, a Welsh dresser $l2O, a grandfather chair $ll5, and its partner, a grandmother chair, $125.

A set of sterling silver candlesticks sold for $2B, a sterling silver teapot and sugar basin for $23, and a silver vegetable dish realised $15.50.
