Containers discussed
(N.Z. Press Association). AUCKLAND, Oct. 15. Exploratory talks were held today between representatives of the Auckland Waterside Workers’ Union and the New Zealand Employers’ Federation over the packing and unpacking of containers at special container depots. A union spokesman said today there was mutual agreement that watersiders should be involved in the packing of containers at special depots which had yet to be established. The terms and conditions of employment of watersiders at container depots were discussed.
