Dogs deter doctor
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Sept. 17. Two pet dogs have come between an English doctor and a specialist appointment at the Dunedin Public Hospital. The doctor, who lives in Nova Scotia with his wife and two dogs, has told the Otago Hospital Board that he is unable to come to New Zealand because he cannot be sure of getting his pets into the country. The board had already confirmed his appointment as a visiting ear, nose and throat specialist at the hospital. The doctor, whose name was not disclosed, was the only applicant for the position.
