ASHBURTON ACCIDENTS
Two motor accidents involving two Christchurch people occurred within half an hour of each other in the Ashburton district on Saturday afternoon. At 4.45 p.m. on State Highway No. 1 at Ealing, a motorcar suffered a blow-out and rolled over. The front and rear windscreens were smashed and the roof and left door were dented. ’ The driver of the car, Agnes McClelland Gale, of 16 Hillsborough Terrace, St Martins, was not injured. A passenger suffered light bruises. At 5.15 p.m. on Saturday a car overturned one mjle north of the Dromore corner and was burnt out It was driven by Charles Walder, of 352 Manchester Street who was admitted to Ashburton Hospital.
