Demonstrations
Sir,—Demonstrating for peace is becoming a dangerous occupation. Three times on Friday night people were nearly run over by idiots in cars or buses. The bus driver drove through the procession as it was moving through the Square for the first time. The other two near misses
occurred in High Street and Colombo Street In both of these cases we had to get out of the way very quickly when the maniacs barged their way through us. People should realise that all the attacks on us were started by motorists. Those who would advocate removal of cars from the inner city certainly have my' support—Yours, etc., MARK STONE.
