Parsnips, however, fetched 80c a box. an Increase of 10c. ' Swedes cost 20c less, and sold at up to >1 a bag. Kumeras were SI less In price and sold at up to $3.50 a case. The official price range supplied by the Christchurch Fruit and Vegetable Wholesalers' Association was: Silver Beet.—ooc to SI a case. Beetroot. —50c a case. Pumpkins.—To 82 a sack. Cabbages.—soc to SI a case. Carrots.—To S2 a ease. Cauliflowers.—6oc to- 90c a case. Onions—To *3.20 a bag. Parsnips.—To 80c a box. Sprouts-—52.50 to 53.20 a case. Swedes. —80c to $1 a bag. White Turnips.—soc a case. Potatoes —Boc to 11.20 a sugar ! bag. Kumeras—To 53.50 a case. Spring Onions.—To 90c a dozen : bunches. Parsley.—To 12c a bunch. Lettuces.—Boc to $1.40 a case. Leeks. —To 90c a case. White Celery —Boc to $1 SO a case. Utah Celery —Boc to $l.BO a - case. Cucumbers. —$1.80 to $2.60 a 'case. Rhubarb —s2 a dozen bunches. Tomatoes.—2sc to 40c per lb.
