A five-acre property with a three-bedroom weatherboard bungalow and sheds at 334 Russley Road, Avonhead, was sold for $14,500 at auction on Wednesday. The Government valuation is $10,400. Bidding beg: at $9OOO and rose in bid;, of $5OO to $11,500, $250 to $13,750. The final bids were of $lOO and $5O. The property was sold on account of the District Public Trustee. The auctioneer was Mr E. G. Keenan, of Binns, Barber and Keenan, Ltd.
