ELECTRONIC TIMING
The Introduction of electronic timing at trotting meetings has the approval of the executive ot the Trotting Conference. At Its meeting in Christchurch last Friday it decided to press for its early introduction.
The timing of flying start races where the starting points are sometimes at such angles that accuracy is difficult has caused much controversy. At Addington on Saturday the timekeepers went to the starting point for flying-start races run over 13 furlongs, and returned to the winning post before the finish.
